As long as it's repayable and they have paid tax here in the UK in the first place, I guess it ranks alongside all those billionaire football clubs furloughing their ground and lower order coaching staff..

Although it is a 'World' body and one could question why just the UK should pick up the tab. Anyone any idea how Fifa is working the system?

personally I think it's golden opportunity for an algorithmic assessment based on Corporation Tax returns too..... I've heard of several institutional multinational corp tax avoiders using the Job Retention Scheme to furlough staff to offset heavy payrolls in these low income months.  Some even still insisting workers 'do their bit' to 'pull together through this' too.

Anyway, a digression from World Sailing's case, who I am sure, are beyond reproach for any mismanagement and/or dodgy governance. ;-)
