Boats that float on their side with the CB at water level are the way to go though for lots of reasons.
Yes plus low freeboard, features to help you pull your self in (over the side or transom) and buoyancy aid choice of clothing have a big effect,

The Blaze has low freeboard if you ignore the racks (which do make sitting out pretty comfortable) but the trade off is kneeling downwind in some conditions. The CB is a bit high though when capsized and less buoyancy, while it would help, may not be possible with an open cockpit/transom.

But you don't need low freeboard to sink the side deck and roll into the boat but the open transom means that any water getting in in the process is easy to remove.

No above. I remember just stepping onto it and flicking the boat up. Some gaps seem to have developed in the intervening years which results in being in the water reaching for the righting lines. But the interventions have been fun!

Many of our older sailors are now using righting lines and so don’t get onto the board. Despite the odd rescue this generation contributions keep many clubs afloat and anything that keeps them sailing safely has to be explored.

Getting back in is often a problem, try pulling the boat so it is heeling towards you and roll in, but the best way is to step over directly from the centreboard as the boat comes up.

Imagine a righting line from shroud to transom that you can step into, boat is upright. The length is critical, feet are together and on the line, hand on the gunwale. Now you separate the legs, clearly not the splits but heading to a 40% split. The body is naturally lifted out of the water. I have tried it and it is difficult to stop the feet ending under the hull but Scamp sailors have had some success.
