Villan,
OK, so you weren't impressed with the Laser 'wheelbarrow' but how did it compare to the RS Terra and Q'Ba. I'm going to the show on Thursday, my littl'un has told me that she's interested in a Terra and that I'm to get her a brochure ! ![]() Cheers, Nigel |

Wow!! A Brochure. I bet thats all she's ever wanted lol I thinks she'll prefer the actual boat tho! Webmuppet, think about amount of boats Bens had. You don't want Eloise to be like that do ya!? Mark. |

Didn't really look at the Tera and the Q'ba ... And I may sound like a RS fanboy here, but I'd go with anything RS make over anything of Lasers ... Even after their problems over the last year!
They have now started selling the " sunfish " which I hear is the best selling sailboat in the world? Don't they say that for the Laser as well? And don't you think there is a good reason you dont see that .... *thing* outside of the states? ( I cant! Just look at the advanced rig! Its like a surfboard with an oppie rig! ) |

Nigel, what happened to the race rigged topper? she has been spending too much time talking to ben!! Villan, I agree that even with the problems i would have an RS over a Laser. Adam |

A brochure, you can do better than that, get a Laser Bug t-shirt (free) and also a goody bag including a poster (i think)!!! As for the Tera, they are a fantastic boat to sail for adults and kids or both. There is room for both but they are more a boat to teach them inn. If your on a lake, then she;ll no doubt be really happy in one and you can reef them too. The Q'Ba is basically a Pico, didnt really study it for ages but it doesn;t have the bow section for the kids to sit in, but it does have a retractable painter! Take a look, they are all next to each other which is cool. |

Mrs Webmuppet has claimed the Topper for herself ! Littl'un is still too light for it, however she's noticed that Minorca Sailing have now got some Terras and she want to have a go in one when we go there later in the year

Popped onto the stand yesterday and had a chat and a look. Asked about wheel and it is removeable and can be replaced by a blanking plate (which is what you would have on the 'race' version). Also you can both row it and put an engine on the back - great for light wind days!

So you have to capsize and reattach the wheel when you come back in

No, they sell a launching trolley also, so you have a choice - wheel or trolley.

I read that you could put an engine on in, would probably sink the stern!!
Oh and the race sail is 5.3mtr similar to the Laser Radial!!! |
