Yes, however, there are also other barriers for women in these countries such as clothing and facilities. Or just the general acceptance of women participating in sport regardless of the presence of men.  So even the mixed single-hander would face some issue with acceptance. 

Yet, how much of an issue this truly is I'm not sure. The first I read it was in the submission containing the mixed single-hander, and it seemed more as a card to get two single-handers on the slate (including the finn). I've not read anything from MNAs in relevant countries expressing concern.

Mixed events are mixed events, no ambiguity, should be written in stone, no pandering or discussion.

yep, there's nothing like writing things in stone from a dominant viewpoint to bring people of different cultures together in what should be a global celebration....

Whilst it is frowned upon these days to disavow anyone, especially those under 34to of their dreams, I can say that it will take more than a frock and a penchant for knitting and kittens to get you in consideration for Olympic selection in mps/Xs or any other class :-)

70 year old transgender woman in Olympic trials? I would have thought it's got exactly the tenor of the moment. I hope y'all are not being discriminatory here against us would be transgender types.
