I assume that the considerably shorter laser one was a thicker guage than normal cable conduit but you never know with those cheapskates |

Got me thinking about using flexi hose, like the stuff inflatable pumps use, with a length of line up the middle pull the line it goes stiff, uncleat it and it'll bend in two.

Looks like plastic conduit. Used to use it to single hand a Laser 2. Not the most precise, but didn’t break if I landed on it in a capsize.

Plastic cable conduit does bend like that too. The old Laser gorilla tiller had an extension made out of the 25mm conduit covered in a grip. Stiff enough to use but would bend enough that breaking didn't happen when your toe strap broke and you out of the boat backwards

If the bend is real and not a distortion caused by editing, only thing I can think of that wobbles like that is a tight rope walkers pole, but that would suggest weight.

What sometimes happened with lens foot on my Ent' it would fill up with water, then sail would fill and chuck it all over you.
