How difficult is it to launch the H2 singlehanded when it is windy?

I would expect it is somewhat harder to "wrestle around" than the much smaller hull of e.g. a Laser.

Thank you!

So coaching is over-rated and pointless if you can Google it! Don't suppose that Jess Ennis-Hill and Tony Minichiello would agree.

I was also at the H2 Training Day and Jim did run through the rudiments of 'leech management' and give his interpretation of how to make the rig work. He was also happy to answer all the 'what ifs?' and provide on-the-water coaching and hop in and out of boats to demonstrate specific points. Oh yes, then there was the video analysis.

'Siri...How do I make my boat go faster?' LOL LOL LOL

I would take a day of coaching with someone like Jim Hunt any day.

Doing it all on computer is good to get a baseline but it doesnt then analyse what you are doing.....

The H2 is a similar length to a Laser and whilst much wider and with twice as much freeboard the hull weighs almost exactly the same as the laser due to its construction out of modern materials. I am not sure what a rigged laser weighs but a H2 hull is around 50kg (same as Laser) and its 75kg rigged. If it was very windy I would probably get the boat ready and launch it with the sail in the boat as the boom is pre-launch fitted and held in place so its just a case of pulling the sail up the track, locking off halyard and then you walk down the side holding the gunwhale and jump in over the back pushing the rudder down as you go so arguably this is easier than a laser. If I was launching into a surf then you would have to pull the sail up first but I have found it one of the easier boats to launch and recover.

One thing we can safely say is that you don't 'know' what Jack's intention was.

I don't even know... I'd been on the Rum after 48 hours no-stop weaving lengths of my back hair so I could rope a sea turtle to get me off this rock.
