I have used Craft Insure for 9 years, went to them 'cos they were cheapest. I've had two claims, a Spice mast and a 10 HP Honda outboard nicked of the back of my inflatable. Both were paid out quickly and without hassle. Not sure if they are still the cheapest but feel they deserve my loyalty for the present at least.

Hi Grf As the 3.7 is really hardly a class in the UK especially when you add spinnaker I am not surprised they don't mention it. I would email them for a quote. Regards Gordon

It's a class, I've seen the class website and found its Facebook page and there are thirty boats registered in the UK, so they must get insurance somewhere (Noble Listed it) anyway the awfully nice young man from GJWubbleyou as pm'd me and he's going to quote (I haven't mentioned any spinnaker since it hasn't happened yet, too much else to do right now, maybe something for the summer.. ;-)

Have insured with Noble for nearly forty years, including current three boat fleet. Have had some substantial claims in that time and never had reason to fault their service.

I use Noble's to insure my Farr 3.7. I did have trouble finding an insurer when I first built it in 2013, but it was an unrecognised class then, the first built in UK and a homebuild, so companies either shied away or had a ridiculous premium. I then chose to go 3rd party as I would likely do any repairs myself. The premium for this is around £40

Blue Fin for me,
2 claims (1 centreboard breaking, 1 transom damage as I fell over). Both settled quickly with no problems - boat repair paid direct, so I only had tge excess to pay... |

+1 for Nobles.
Have used Craftinsure in the past and they settled a moderate claim quickly, but the renewal premium went up I thought too much afterwards. |

Thinking about it, for a new boat, the premium is a smaller chunk of the whole, I'd go with Noble.

+1 for Noble. Friendly, hassle free, and great service.
They were especially helpful when buying a new boat. They insure it 'on spec', and if I go to look at the boat and buy it, it is insured for the transport home. I then confirm I bought it and they'll charge my card. If I didn't buy it (which hasn't happened yet) they'd not charge my card.

Two big claims with Craft Insure here and no noticeable increase in premium (beyond what I would expect year on year).
