I haven't seen pics, only read the text on the RS website, but a rotomoulded Aero for beginners, sailing schools and club ownership sounds like a reasonable idea, especially if they've managed a reasonable weight/stiffness balance. http://www.rssailing.com/en/explore/rs-neo |

It's a foot and a half shorter and nearly twice the weight of the Aero, but that confers stability (and it's a bit wider, and reading between the lines probably quite a lot wider on the WL, still more stability). Carbon spars too, that looks expensive but it's under £4k. I'd say it was more like a scaled up Tera actually. Should do well with your projected audience Jim

Not giving much away are they?
Perhaps the most interesting point is that RS have a German partner, Onsail De. |

The notes say that it is based on a quba hull... Just a rig upgrade basically.

It says it's a standard Quba hull but Neo could be built in "polypropylene/poluethelene mix for extra strength" (scan through the pics in the gallery). The foredeck, (so presumably the mast step too) is easily replaceable so it might be that a Quba hull could be upgraded?

Seems strange the the boat on the stand has a completely different cut of sail to the marketing blurb on their website.

The creases in that sail!
Is that the best it can do? Mr North ought to be having words with whoever let it look like that on the stand. |

Ah well, the sail on your stand only looks as good as the last person who was playing with the strings...
