Hi there, this is my first post on this forum and i'm stuck for buying some new sailing kit!

I currently have a set of Rooster pro hikers, which are only just big enough - I can only wear things like hot legs underneath them, anything thicker becomes too tight and uncomfortable to wear. When its been a bit chilly in the past I've warn these along with hot legs/hot top and a pro aquafleece and is usually fine for colder days in the summer and early autumn. But I would like something to wear in Late Autumn/Spring before I have to resort to my drysuit due to the reduced mobility.

I have been considering Long Johns, (potentially the rooster Super therm since I can incorporate my hiker pads that I already own) - but I'm not sure if it will be warm enough and will have to buy some extra kit anyway. I have seen mentions of surfing wetsuits as well since they have thinner shoulders for better movement, but I'm welcome to suggestions!

I wear a long John wet suit all the year round, but it hugely depends on what and where you sail whether you'll be warm enough.

I've worn my supertherm long johns all year in my Musto and tested with plenty of Eskimo roll capsize recovery and it's warm enough, always could wear your hot legs under.

I'd say your feet in winter make biggest difference, have a look at the their hotsocks as they are thin enough to wear with your current boots and make a night and day difference to warmth
