Personally I'm almost glad for the absolutely vast amout of useless stuff everyone is writing at the moment!  I can't keep up with it and as a result I'm spending far less time on here and so I'm even actually doing some coursework for once, many thanks everyone, keep it up!!

Ohh sailor girl, it's always a shock when you get short hair (esp if you havent really planned it ). What does hurri think about it?

I'm not quite sure how my post prompted you to post - I thought I was 1-Being constuctive by suggesting that when the interesting stuff dries up the thread is moved to banter and 2-Suggesting a reason why it dries up in the first place.

Getting a thread moved is as simple as PMing Mark Jardine but you'll never stop frivolous postings as this is a conversation type medium. I think you just have to accept that as human nature.

PS You did come across as a bit grumpy but then we all have bad days.
