Firstly that would never work because the single and double handers wouldn't be able to swap without having a crew on standby or ready to be let down at the moment the draw is made for who sails what boat.

Secondly if I sailed a Musto Skiff and the Topper 4.2 kid got chosen to sail my boat I would be going straight home!  LOL

a decision not taken as quickly as if you'd drawn the Topper!!!    LOL

Very true!

What would happen if the Laser national champion turned up, but because he knew he wouldn't be sailing his own boat and it isn't a class event, decided to supply a replica sail....  Wink

Right, I'm off to get my BMW serviced whilst wearing a fake Rolex before this erupts again!

Why not use the Albacore. The fastest 2 sail dinghy around and can carry crew weights from 20 to 30 stone.

Great idea - and perhaps the Ent on alternate years ?

The Alb, as great as it is, isn't quite the fastest 2 sail dinghy - Tasar ? It may well be the most suitable however ?

Icon, Sharpie, Redwing (the last perhaps not)
