I want to raise a cleat by about 60-70mm
Any one know of anything this big for small cleats or do i have to make something? Ian

I don't recall seeing anything off the shelf.
Awful lot of leverage on that: whatever you end up with make sure it has a wide (long?) footprint. I think I'd want four fasteners with that, not just the two that hold the cleat down. I'd be tempted to make a little mould and fabricate a top hat section carbon bracket. Edited by JimC - 25 Aug 15 at 1:07am |

Valid observation Jim and the answer is I'm not sure however the boat I have just sold had a hand made block with apparently just two holes and that worked brilliantly.
You can see what I mean in the film below https://youtu.be/rtJl9e9sz2c |

Reasonably wide base though assuming its the one on the foredeck... In your place and if I were near someone appropriate I might try and blag a few inches of offcut carbon big boat mast or boom section as basis for a riser.

I can see that the height of the racks dictate such a high riser in that location.
I understand that the action would be slightly changed but could the cleat on a less extreme riser be positioned closer to the mast where the line runs closer to the deck, perhaps with a fairlead some way forward of the cleat for more precise alinement. |

nice idea but there is a rule concerning the position of the cleats. Basically they have to be near the cockpit due to the position of reinforcement under the deck.
