Haha - I can't help having these stumpy, sawn-off legs.

The problem i always envisaged with the Finn is that is has to be good for your knees when sailing as you need them working perfectly for when you have to pull it back up the slipway

each Finn should come with an electric trolley (waterproof of course) to get the thing up the slip

the finn is pretty horrendous on knees! plus I know some old finn sailors who both blame their hip replacements on dragging finns up beaches

Anybody say JJ Phantom? Phantom not too heavy to drag up a slip and JJ dropped floor for comfort.

Clearly there is no consensus here. Have a look at my Hadron dinghy. It is DESIGNED for sailing comfort. No kneeling required!

Over the years I have sailed and owned a number of single handers, non I hasten to add with a trapeze. I haven't found one , until recently, that is truly easy on the knees. I am an average club sailor who has owned and sailed, my kids Topper, numerous Lasers, three Supernovas, a Finn, a Phantom, and an RS300, my knees are now showing age and wear and tear. Then I bought a Hadron, designed by Keith Callaghan and built by Simon Hipkin. Problem solved. A proper dinghy, far less knee work, more comfort, just as much fun. I would thoroughly recommend the Hadron to anyone.
