nope- made with 'intangible' benefits like running a innovative sail loft staffed with professional sailors who are paid to offer support (and possibly even coaching and training if you ask nicely). Much of this progressive development then transferring into less popular classes and new products- like both the Zero and Aero which uses the same parent company.  So everyone in sailing can benefit if they choose too.

But it's not a price point for everyone, which is why the Solo is a great class model-  it still allows smaller lofts to get involved and offer cheaper alternatives across the value : performance spectrum.

I doubt there are too many folks would really call Solo sailing 'chequebook sailing', not in comparison to other single handers out there- it seems a well balanced class at every participation level from what I've seen.

Correct and some of the smaller lofts offer great pricing and excellent service and do make competitive sails so not always a need to spend your £1200 with loft A when Loft B can do you a sail that is just as fast for a lot less (not sure what Mr Morgan charges for a Solo sail these days but they look good and his Streaker sails are doing very well in the early season events).

Ah yes, TT  winning..........Just like his "Real World", an entirely subjective experience.  Wink

If you hold these rules in your head when discussing things with tt ( especially rule 1) you can have a lot of fun and you will never never know where the thread well go!

You missed rule 4) Even if losing the argument, James has to have the last word

Jeez, nothing like the old...I don't like what he is saying so I will try and publicly ridicule and cheapen someone's opinion just because its different.

Come on guys you are surely better than that.  Like James posts or not, he has the right to have an opinion.  Posting statements about his personal 'Wealth' and lifestyle is a low blow.  Adding a chuckling smiley doesn't make it 'Right'  Still he could always setup another account so he has at least one person that agrees with him.  Wink
