Butler Boats will be down showing off their Composite Streaker and Farr 3.7 on stand C56, FRP Streaker (on the Streaker Stand C66) and Composite Miracle (on Miracle Stand C52)!

Busy busy few days ahead but well worth it!

Hope everyone who is going enjoys it and come and say hello!

The car parks are the same as normal, but the problem is that these fill up - especially on Saturday. I'm going up by train - there are shuttle buses laid on from Wood Green and Alexandra Palace stations. I find it so much less stressful than sitting in the car on the North Circular!

We shall be leaving Swindon for the show early, partly because we are bringing stand decorations, but also to get a parking place!

I expect anyone who puts an event on in the TFL area is required to say that, but I reckon Ally Pally is a lot easier with public transport than car if you're coming from south of the river.

Apart from the mild hypothermia I caught while waiting for the 'regular' shuttle bus two, or maybe three years ago, I switched to train + bus some time back and haven't got over my loathing of the North Circular sufficiently to change.  Plus you can have a few Guinness and snooze on the way home by train Wink

BTW I still would like this to be at the NEC instead.   Surely someone somewhere can cut a deal?

The NEC wouldn't want it... spend is far too low and footfall not good enough.

You could possible do something 'higher brow' at the NIA in Birmingham, at least then we could have forum social at Legs 11 on Broad Street.

Who in their right mind would ever go anywhere near Birmingham?

There's some good restaurants in China Town, and the Balti is legendary... beyond that I agree.  I always take the toll road on the M6- that way you don't even see birmingham when heading NW.
