Sailracer just posted on this on their website.  Results not until tomorrow afternoon.  Sounds like it's a bit of a nightmare.  Must be all the average lapping.  Don't envy them!

I think they made life difficult in the second race with the finish with boats of the same class doing a different number of laps. I was 3rd Zero at the time and every boat in front of me did an extra lap, every one behind went through the line. I started the new lap but then ducked back through the line losing about a dozen places. But every involved in organising the day did a fantastic job and I'm sure they deserve a good rest before tackling the spreadsheet!

I agree peaky, don't envy them at all.  Imagine unravelling that spreadsheet.  Ouch

When I did barts bash at my club the compulsory video was great for sorting out results - because I could do it at leisure the next day. Be a nightmare with a clubhouse full of impatient competitors though.

When I'm RO I hate people who do things like that because it leaves them a lap chart with a boat starting a lap, then the same boat finishing a couple of minutes later, which makes you think you must have misidentified one of them.
As a competitor I've done the same sort of thing myself...

I really enjoyed the day.... I think I did quite well in the 1st race, but re-injured a pulled thigh muscle 2 laps in to the second, meaning game over. It also means I won't be able to sail the Finn tomorrow as I planned😖

Yes, I did feel guilty straight away, but I got confused as I wasn't sure whether I should have finished or not.

Yes rather a nightmare on lap counting at Oxford SC

First provisional set of results,  ended up using the tracking data to confirm scoring sheets but as not everyone took their tracker far from perfect,  please report any obvious mistakes

Well done Simon and team.... The Yoof did pretty well with his 19th (way better than I did, anyway).
The site doesn't give indications of youth and junior.... Does that put Cameron as top U18/21?

Interesting how there's such a mix of classes up the top - maybe this handicapping malarkey works after all😜

*legs it*
