Yes it's taken a reasonable amount of time. But that's what happens when a small boat builder takes on an opportunity like this, money doesn't grow on trees and they have to get there ducks in a row. Plus, when the original instigator of the project, (that's me) - level of involvement with launching the class is purely a 'not for profit' one and is purely doing to for the love of the sport, things do take there time.

... and you're under no pressure to rush it market because there's an alternative about to be launched, or any delusions that it's going 'the next best thing'.  It's for connoisseurs (light ones).

I think he means unlike another dinghy where the launch was rushed because a rival was launching something aimed at the same market sector.

I would say there is nothing else in the same market sector as the Farr 3.7 in the UK (single handed trap boat for the lighter helm).
