I hated Calshot- what a dump of a place, I won't be going there again.

Highcliffe / Christchuch / Avon - much nicer

Hillhead / Monks Hill / Stokes Bay - better (best?) sailing / less commercial traffic

Hayling - Mecca, just has to be done, even if not technically 'the best'

Southsea - better Fish and Chips, bugger of a drive through Pompey though.

They are indeed, but too far for me really.... and you might run into someone pimping RRD kit.  (That's worse than an RS Aero btw)  LOL

I was impressed that the D-Zero CA set the first ever class meeting up for online access. The meeting was held at Grafham (D-Zero training day run by Dan Holman) on Saturday evening and provided a Skype connection for anyone unable to be there in person. Contributions to the meeting came both from the floor and also via Skype. Thanks to Russ for setting this up. I am so pleased to see the CA as an active and innovative institution. Best for me is that it's an owners' class rather than a manufacturer's class :)

There are three cameras within half a mile making the village like a cash till.

You old hooligan    To get back, again, on topic you should really sail a D-Zero

I am not a hooligan, old maybe....My sons (who are hooligans) say that I only know one speed irrespective of limits, so too fast in slow and too slow in fast. I was however meaning to contact you Rodney. I have been charged by my Commodore with arranging a D Zero test for next Spring, if this is possible? We are Combs Sailing Club near Buxton in Derbyshire. We are small but very busy with a fleet of 13 Supernovas, 5 Bytes and 4 Lightnings. One member who is less geriatric than most of us is looking to replace his 300 with something more equal in performance to Supernova but not a Supernova as his dad has one!

There are 3 other clubs in the area and we could include them as well, what do you think?

So you're one of those of whom we have bundles round here: totally inappropriate speed through the village then irritatingly slow once they pass the de-restriction sign.  Grrr!

No offence meant iiitick, I would rather own up to being a hooligan than old, but then I probably was a few years ago

We would, of course, be very happy to visit Combs SC with some D-Zeros for testing. Probably best if you can email me rodney@suntouched.co.uk to set this up.

Thanks Rodney. It really was a pleasure to have people dialing in and contributing. Even some potential members to the fleet dialed in and gave feedback as to how they would like their potential new class to run and what we should be doing to further promote the boat. There was a really refreshing upbeat tempo and vibe around the AGM, usually they are annual affairs I try to avoid. But some great output and we now have a committee of dedicated owners.

It is really amazing how far we have come in the 9 months since the dinghy show. Not without hiccup, or obstacle mind you! But we got there, an association that is volunteer led for the better of the class!

Nice one chaps. Esp Mike, Russ and Paul- and of course Neil & David for showing the true potential of the boat for club racing so early on- pretty bloody amazing if you think about it.
