Thank f*ck for that... listen to too many folks around my way and you'd think sailing wasn't a water sport anymore given the amount of moaning they do when their bourbon cream goes soggy reaching-around upwind.

On a serious note- the Aero 5 article on the FP is a good read. Personally I think the boat looks really good with the 5 sail on it, and an active youth focused programme which encourages everyone to take part, rather than discard and cast off through false promises and broken dreams down that bullsh*t talent pathway ain't no bad thing.... Nice videos from that day too.

I suspect a non-sailor, at least, would find the Laser 4.7 more attractive to look at. The Aero is a bit boxy; at least the old plywood boats had an excuse...

Aero - Angle the boom down towards the rear deck and it would look 100 x better.
That boom height and high clew just looks like a compromise towards beginners not banging their heads ? |
