Not sure if those links work or not, an awesomely positive piece of advertising for our sport. Plus something else tempting me towards a Finn!

I gotta say this is one of the best produced rowing videos I've ever seen

Really awesome video by the way

A fantastic video demonstrating and explaining what makes us love our sport so much. The slow motion shots were the best I think.

This is completely at odds with a shoddy programme on television recently showing the Olympic classes event in Spain which was mainly just talk and even succumbed to watching sailors hack round a golf course, as if showing to much sailing is an embarrassment.

But the back story! How are we meant to know how it feels if no one asks the clearly disappointed person!

It didn't seem as smooth or as aggressive as most other Musto videos. It would be interesting to know if Ian is still on the pace (I haven't looked at recent Musto results to know). Certainly looks chilled out in this video.

"Musto Skiff Class training Largs Oct 2014.
Big waves and mean gusts. Ians priority was keeping the boat upright, so most manoeuvres are safe rather than fast."

Yes trainers, noticed that, interesting.
I learnt to sail in trainers but then when RS300 came out I got an early demo one and bought dinghy boots because I thought grip would be better.
Now several years on and just as many worn/split/ dinghy boots I wonder if they are really necessary. Thin soles for better feel, split toes for adjusting the kicker? Not so good on crushed concrete!
A few weeks back I had two days on a RIB with trainers over drysuit for more comfort and support, occasional plantar fasciitis (if you've had it you'll know) , end of the day quickly threw a harness on and got the Contender out for a quick spin. Grip from the trainers on the progrip was brilliant, better than dinghy boots. Maybe trainers could snag a rope around ankle more than a smooth boot but other than that.
