First five boats arrived at GWSC today. Just hoping the forecast for the weekend improves ready for Sunday racing!

Just seen Rodney's facebook post, that looks exciting? Everyone down the club today unpacking? With the later comers looking on jealously?

Bit of an injustice to Jo Richards......

Have you ever looked at the hull shape of an aero. Apart from being finer at the bow its not dissimilar to a d-one. We had both side by side at the demo.

Agree with peakys logic. I would add two more which affected my decision to live on the other side 1. you know what (think southern ocean) 2. local movement to a fleet of one over the other.

when 5 identical boats turn up, at the same time, at the same club, then there should be a forum prize for the first helm that pulls off a port-end flyer on the dozy other 4.  If you do it to 29 others, surely there must be some kind of national level recognition for that, we should have a photo thread dedicated to these hawk eyed bias spotters

Jo has a history of designing some terrific boats and I'm sure the Aero is another he can add to that list. But I just felt that it was more compromised from a pure sailboat perspective than the Zero. Those compromises are great for helping stacking, reducing weight, getting a volume mast manufacturer etc, which are all worthy design aims but not what I wanted. If I sailed at a club that had a dozen of them, I would certainly be tempted though!

I think if you could pull something like that off then you ought to get a promotion to 'Class Manager', you even get paid to write the class review for Y&Y   LOL

yep, I'm feeling the need for some investment into some highly specialised lightwind windsurfing equipment.... that should ensure it's blowing its tits off all winter.
