Well I'm glad to hear it, honestly I felt I was actually in shock yesterday after all that, it makes it worse i guess all that swimming about in fresh water, that's not fun. Funny I was telling this relatively new chap who is a bit sea shy, how much easier everything is on the sea, it's why we come down here said I, to get better at boat handling, mark rounding, wind shift appreciation, capsize recovery however isn't part of the deal, it's a lake, the waters flat, we shouldn't be the only one chucking himself into the bottom of the boat with the sheet uncleated allowing the boom to go ahead of the mast and be rolling about in the scuppers of the wrong side shortly to become a new addition to pond life.

skunked for NWF by the looks of things..... 2-5 knots is below my sailable threshold, looks like I will just have to have a few beers and make a royal nuisance of myself in the kite surfing tent.

I'm off to the father in laws funeral now, it's the 2nd Funeral this week, depending how long it goes on I'll either leave straight after, or tomorrow first thing, the boys are already down there.

Sorry to hear that, I hope the family are okay.

I'm heading tomorrow first thing - via Little Chef. It will be the highlight of the weekend judging from Windguru - apart from buying you a beer of course ;-)

Crap day? .....crap weekend really (Results-wise anyway).
Far too much booze the night before the Lightning368 Nationals - I blame the Jagermeister, Rupert told me to also blame the French..to which I must agree!)
4 races on the Saturday of which I actually only really remember 1 of them.....Hangover started halfway through Race 1 on Sunday......I'm never drinking again.

Well, after Southport this weekend that is.

I endorse those sentiments. I never fell in at all last season and neither this so far. In consequence I am out of practice and nervous. As well as getting old.

I did split my head open a couple of weeks ago during an unplanned tack. Bleed? I have never bled like that before! It took me a long time to scrub it out of my clothing.

I'm exactly the same when it comes to capsizing. I keep on meaning to go out on a windy day and push it till I fall in a lot to get the practice (doing it on purpose just isn't the same) but I don't like water that much. Now, if we were sailing on cider, that would be different!
