I've entered now, but Charlie's told me to sort the Yoof out on Thur. I've only sailed my boat 3 times, but thankfully I'm on 2 weeks leave now so Mon and Tues will be training at Oxford. Can't wait!!

I'll be sailing around Mersea Island on Sunday (wind / forecast dependent)

Wow! What a brilliant few days!!
Great bunch of people (and a seriously high standard of sailing), great Club at Brightlingsea, awesome weather that threw every condition at us, and the boat was tremendous.
I've learnt so much over the past 4 days about how to sail the D1 - certainly no secrets kept.
Great to meet forumites Tim and Roger too.
Oh, the Yoof did beat me as expected, scoring 4 top ten finishes during the event.
Congratulations to Nick in winning the Europeans and Nationals - awesome watching the fight at the front of the fleet with Petr.

Just to add what a brilliant event and some very close racing! First event now done in the D-One and lots more now to follow. Learnt a huge amount about the boat although some way to go with the thing at the front. Plus I need to stop falling out / falling in / falling over :-)

This really is a seriously good boat and a class that is now growing month on month!
