I watched some of a recent Ent open at Hunts and initially was surprised at how many racing were still aft main.  Looking closet, however, you notice that the centre main boats have far less space for the crew.

Hadn't they discovered 'off the boom' sheeting, or is that forbidden as in the Miracle class, for goodness sake. 

Why do some classes seek to be so unnecessarily restrictive on zero-cost mods*?  It's almost as if they don't want to you to enjoy yourself too much.

* actually, off the boom would be cheaper than the off the thwart solution imposed by the Miracle class.  They even limited the bridle height; how anal is that?
