I have to say the D-0 does seem to be shaping up into a fantastic package.
The boat just looks right in the photos. I suspect the Aero will be popular with institutions and holiday companies as a utility boat but the D-0 looks like the choice for the dinghy racing enthusiast. I also noted the RS100 seems to be in freefall with their nationals numbers in decline for a 3rd year in a row and only 2 10.4s sailing. I believe the D-0 is the modern single handed hiker for the future ... kites need traps or wings ...

Red toestrap ropes terminated on bespoke fittings. The guys failed to attach the ropes to the new fittings correctly which resulted in Roman doing a backward flip on Saturday They certainly will get ir right for the production boats now

Hi Rodney, in the bottom of your photo sequence the photo has some 'black things' holding what I believe is red elastics.... can you elaborate slightly please?

Thanks Mast is rakeable (Finn and D-One style) with removable chocks of differing thickness at deck level and also mast step is offset in a delrin cube which allows for the foot to be set in either a forward or aft position.
Sorry to say there is no useful cubby hole Edited by rodney - 28 May 14 at 1:18pm |

That does look pretty perfect. I have no objection to it damaging Laser but I worry what it might do to a few other classes as well!

Very hard to find anything not to like on that Rodney, and the quality looks superb.
Perhaps I haven't been paying enough attention but is the mast rakeable at deck level and does that cover remove fully over the cubby hole for your Mars bars and drink? Or does it have a boring sailing function? P.S. Like the sizing on the pics too, makes them easier to view!

iitick,
A removable return flange mould is added to the perimeter of the hull mould and removed before release. This gives a lip to the hull part which overlaps inside the deck part making a robust invisible join with minimal associated labour. More robust than the catamaran style invisible join(flange from blanking mould perpendicular to mould surfaces) Hope that's all clear Dan |

Is there no answer to this question, where is the join and how does it work?
