Dragging this thread back on topic, that will never work!

So, what are we cutting out then? The Brandy or the Babysham, can't believe you'd drop both..

Both this one time, but they have been replaced summer drink, a rather pleasant pink Pinot Grigio, always happy to share a well chilled bottle. Wink

I remember wondering if that was the first time you'd had your 'leg over' in a while..

On a strict diet and exercise programme ready for the trial weekend at YDSC, just what my life needs after the sad demise of TR13 Dead

You have to go some on the sea to overhaul a well sailed Laser, the only una rig single hander that you can physically see a speed difference other than a Phantom in very light winds, and the Blaze in a breeze, is the Contender, other than that it's the off wind battle an EPS usually has the Edge over and then it'll rely on the wave speed, get some fastish waves and a surfing fool in a Laser and they're gone.

can you?  Wink  LOL
Although there was a certain amount of apprehension, seriously I haven't capsized a boat since Dec 2012 and what if, just like the time I tested a Concept 302 at 14 years old, I broke it recovering the capsize?

It was semi serious. Can you step over the side onto the plate or do you need to dive for it?

christ, I really don't know... I'd guess you can when you know what you're doing and where your feet go.

I was an expert at capsize recovery in my RS100 within a few weeks, I can't see this boat chucking up much of a challenge on that front...

It was stable and not skittish in the water.  And I am being genuine- I haven't righted a dinghy for 18 months+.  I knew the camera was on and I knew I looked more like a rutting walrus than a balletic sailing youtube god...   not a good recipe, but hopeful enough 'value' gained to trade personal vanity for the greater good of seeing it behave like a topper when capsized.
