RS still have their offer on as well, so I doubt either are there yet. I doubt you will see 'fleet' racing in either until next season at the earliest and that of course depends on what you call a fleet and who is in it.

A 25 boat+ fleet of people who own either boat is a couple of years away I would think. That said most single handers would like regular 25+ fleets  Confused

Just buy whichever you like and sail it..

Has anyone any idea if we have a UK 'fleet' on deposit yet ?  I see the 500 quid discount is still being offered by Suntouched, so they haven't reached the 100 boat limit for this deal...

Perhaps the inaugural D-0 event should be at Broxbourne?

a little reminder from the FOM- featuring the Punk with one of the nicer prototype rigs that looks quite similar to the one on the stand at the Dinghy Ex

- @3.36 you can see Dan stabbing a rat (sailing upwind for those not following the D-Zero Facebook group).

there's also some nice 'handling' footage of the Punk at the end... but be warned, once the Punk footage is over, please close the video... it's NSFW.

And before anyone asks, no sorry it's not playable on iPhones nor is it available in a higher resolution.  I ran out of Live Jasmin tokens and freed up some hard disk space a while ago, so sadly don't have the original footage to re-render it.

That's a good question. I understand the mast, both sections, are sealed and has an external halyard as per the RS300. This should give some flotation, though whether you can use the 300 method of stepping on the mast to 'get your leg over' onto the board, remains to be seen. Having such a low freeboard should also help sliding over the gunnel to get back after righting. One of the things I'll be checking on my test sail.

I've not capsized the proto that much, but it's never been a problem. Easy to, ahem, get one's leg over, floats fairly low in the water so dagger reachable, not much rig weight so can be righted without climbing onto dagger. Think it'll turn turtle like any dinghy but getting back on wasn't a prob either.
