Looks like just about every other boat y'all seem to find admirable, I bet Wing Wang can't wait to add it to her collection, although with those 'hi tech wheels' on the bottom it might be a tad too advanced...

The irony the CVDRA will probably refuse entry to their events as it is too modern.

The last boat added to my collection was a D One, the next may well be an Icon....oh but I have forgotten ye olde Skol Mothe I am picking up any minute now.

I saw that boat and tried to post it in the home build thread but my new fangled ipad thwarted me.  I think it looks lovely, clearly from the same design stable as the V twin.
the same, but different...

If it comes to Hunts for the first CVRDA meet of the season over May Bank Holiday I will  let it in on the grounds it is clearly very lost...

what a let down this thread is, I was expecting tales of daring-do like proposals to the CA to rid itself of that weird c'board case capping, carbon rudder stocks (to go with the foils and tillers) or mast/boom changes, or new measurement rules....

You honestly expected that when opening this thread?  Why... did you see the mound of turf on Jack Holt's grave twitch?

So, the adult class which is currently one of the most successful in the UK, and you think they should change things more than they have already? Why would they do that, when people are obviously enjoying the one design racing?

There are no carbon foils on Solos!

if that was a question to me my answer is nothing, I think the Solo represents an excellent boat, with a very well managed class structure and probably the best quality of amateur singlehanded racing around.
