If you get one you'll have to call it 'Tobe-le-Rone'...

Am I the only one who thinks this??

Till you notice details of the rig (carbon, etc), I agree.  I'm surprised how high and boxy the topsides look compared to my impressions gained at the Dinghy Show.

Chris415700 mentioned that the sailors spoke of how the boat lost way very quickly when headed.  This is obviously another disadvantage of lightweight boats that I forgot to list on the 'weight' thread.

As to the chine shape, Nick, the leaflet says: "the chine has a small lip (or land) in order to reduce spray drag and for precise positioning of the computer cut PU foam panels during construction".  I'd guess that the latter is the main raison d'être; certainly they don't seem to be releasing spray any differently to normal chines in the pics.  The spray rails on a Fireball work very well - the 'ball is very efficient on the plane - but its rails are appreciably wider.

Too bad there wasn't a D-Zero present for comparison!

D-zero days will follow no doubt.  Hardly a surprise that they were not out on an RS demo day though is it ha ha.
