Nessa, from what I saw of the Punk sailing, it is a step up in terms of keeping mast above rig than the Lightning. Er Indoors might need a bit more time learning in a less full-on boat or risk being put off.

It's for the painter...

Anyway down to the important bit, what's the price? And don't tell me you can't say before the Dinghy Show else how am I going to know how many notes to bring?

No worries!   We are more than happy to help, just bring the deposit of £250.00 with you and you can place the order  Wink

Excellent, I've got my £250 at the ready. I will make up the rest of the price then.
Needs to sail more...

just carry it out the water... it's only 46 kilos.

drag it up the beach.... it's only shingle.

A benefit of a boat this narrow is that you can easily reach in and grab lines on the centreline - works well on the 3k.

Avoids all the cost and complication of side-deck led lines, along with the need to make them continuous or be forever worrying about having enough adjustment when you tack.

It's odd how we all look at things differently- that was one of those little gems I thought looked excellent.... a solid connection at that point on the rig is one of the things windsurfing has taught me.  Go out with the sloppy clamp and not only does it feel like jelly, the entire rig looses its potency and severely damages the wind range.

Dan stated 70 to 90 kilos..... I'll wait and see how that develops and materialises itself, inland especially before I'd commit.  (Besides who's going to stop you getting a turbo sail cut for inland handicap evening drifts???)

But for all the logical reasons not to join in... being too fat, there being limited others to sail against until it develops, hiking hard will always pay (class rule for max hiking strap length... hint, hint) something that looks that good and is seemingly is so well intended for a modern dinghy scene I'd like to be involved with-  in every sense- design, production quality, overall ethos... it's very hard to resist.

Way to go Rodney and Dan... just hold that silly painter hole when/if I order one, I'll take the weight penalty and tie the trolley to the mast.

Those painter holes are an excellent idea.  We should have them on the D One.

Traveller notwithstanding, it looks nice and simple but it doesn't have all the control tails lead aft through rings on elastic yet!  Wink
