Blimey, YW, you don't do things by halves do you? I reckoned the cheapest epoxy Phantom was still too much for me - hence the EPS.
Where do you plan to sail it?

That bit remains undecided, I'll probably go for Oxford SC this year.

A week ago you were off sailing for life, and handicap racing was the devil's way of making people do maths... Are there in fact 2 of you?

I don't plan to look at the handicap results, or indeed concern myself over any alleged banditry or arbitrary spreadsheets deliberated and cogitated over in Hampshire... I'll see if that helps accept the competitive side of club sailing for what it is, I might even do a couple of one day local opens.

It's got a mean colour scheme though... that's still very important.

Funny, I was thinking of starting a thread "Where have all the Phantoms Gone?"
After years of gaining a bandit reputation at the winter events, the yardstick gets nobbled and they all disappear. Hardly any so far in this seasons Sailjuice series.
I didn't think you enjoyed the last one you had?

this one will be different  LOL  (or at the very least approached with a different mindset)  I think it's easier to enjoy a new toy when you are going up in speed and performance, than when coming down.

My last Phantom was bought at a time when I was into gadgets, pimps and bimbling about, it was also bought as replacement to a Musto Skiff when my life changed direction massively with the arrival of the first lovely little princess.  Neither are the case now and my sailing pattern whilst sporadic, is in line with what I expect from it.  In fact this should a bit too quick to start with, compared to the Solo anyway.... and provide plenty of challenges and learning opportunities.
