And back on topic GRF, I feel a little lost mojo too.  Maybe it is our biorhythms or time of the year or the fact that the sun has just swapped poles.  Although I never thought I would say, I miss just being able to hop into my boat when Winging it is out training.  It needs fixing first though Confused

Don't let Wing Wang catch you talking to me directly E I, in all probability it'll earn you a slap, I am the unacceptable attention seeking face of forum dwellers, to be ignored at every turn..

I've just been spending some time bimbling with the Lightning. New (to me) boom, reverted to centre main (new year, new sailing style) put a new kicker on, changed most of the blocks to nice ones (just 2 to do now) and generally fiddled with the rig.

I could feel my Mojo returning as I played - can't wait to get on the water and pull some string to see what happens!

That's probably it.. Some serious bumbling required, having said that, it needs to stop raining and muddying up the access. I don't think a day has passed down here without rain this year to date. (Did I mention wind?)

I wondered when that myth would find its way on here... for the record, I was helping another windsurfer in distress and assisted the RNLI get his sh1t in one sock by doing an on the water pack down in the middle of January, short wave set dump and a Force 5-6....  and then sailed my own kit back in.

As for other EMO windsurfing retards- well yes, the sunshine bus showed up from Poole Harbour and out came the 140L freeride boards - nice wide ones with flashy graphics for their ultimate walk of shame potential- and off they went, uphauling in the shoredump and getting spat off the back, blown all over the sand bar.  Nice guys though... and we've all been there ourselves so I empathised with their pain.     Embarrassed

It is too much even to contemplate. I am close to quaking...

The purchase of the D1 has truly reawakened my desire to sail.  I have been out in it almost every other day of the last seven days.  It is challenging yet comfortable.  I haven't yet tried racing it RTC - another potential convert asked me about this yesterday - but I reckon it will be ok with slick boat handling and a reasonable course.
