Well Russ, Clive and the rest of the Hiking Bunny Appreciation Society... if guard rails soften your brain as much as your quads, I just think you might have convinced me to work a bit harder.

That's a World Champs?  Noddy, come in Noddy....

Motor racing has F1 and NASCAR

SB20 are obviously what rednecks sail...

and to quote Days of Thunder, "No, no, he didn't slam you, he didn't bump you, he didn't nudge you... he *rubbed* you. And rubbin, son, is racin'."

(and im an f1 kinda guy)

That's not quite true though, is it?

When you first posted on this thread you stated that:- ".....b) the bloke in the RS400 to leeward saw fit to ensure that he shoved me in the said committee boat, causing some significant damage to my boat."

Subsequently you amended your testimony and blamed the wind for going right.

ps. Don't forget the spurs that go with the hat. Big smile

Err, try looking directly before the b) that you quoted, as in;

" a) I stuck the nose of the boat where it shouldn't have been (right in a not-big-enough gap at the Committee Boat..."

I suspect there was serious tide setting toward the pin that was misjudged by those battering the poor pin rib ...

All same same as has gone before.  If you get it wrong you have to bail out and have another go, why does anyone ever think hitting stuff is an acceptable option? Man up and take it on the chin, barging over bouncing off people is never right regardless of rules, penalty turns, protests or whatever other tosh.

Evidence of lower skill exhibited by others is not to be confused with evidence of higher skill oneself. Wink

Tide? What has tide got to do with that first t**t smacking into the safety boat, never mind the idiots squeezed out or trying for a lame port tack into the oncoming fleet, don't they know they should go under gybe and try for the back door, or tack behind the boat and wait?

Higher skill oneself, I'm astronomic compared to that lot.

Unbelievably incompetent. I don't know what else to say.

What could possibly go wrong?
