I am so impressed that you and your better half can race together. My wife and I can just about manage to go out in the safety boat together for a couple of minutes. Any longer and trouble starts
 . Just the thought of sailing together is a no no. On the up side, we have sailed against each other for over twenty years now and never had a falling out on the water.  |

Tim might be looking for a crew for the X1? I have to be at the club for the Hartley demo, so I could be sailing that, or I could be in the vareo. I have no idea.

Duncan, as you know, her indoors is taking enthusiasm for the lightning to entirely new and unexpected levels. For a beginner she shows a sort of natural tactical awareness which I will never have,but disappointingly, refuses to sail with me even though I have tried to tempt her with all kinds of boats.

I crewed for him last Sunday in the second drift, I may be tempted against if there is some wind..... Either way I will sail!

So glad Nicky is loving the lightning. I think they are very undervalued boats, fairly vice free, controls that work and nicer/easier to sail for most adults than a l##er/l##er radial. Sorry to hear that the boat at johns was not as good as hoped, think it was sailed on the sea up on the north norfolk coast. Hope the right boat comes along for Nicky and you enjoy your new boats. |
