Loving it! It's a great boat to sail with my boys, good size, stable, light. Really pleased.

Chew is mostly reserve for people tormenting the the trout, so the actual sailing area is not so big.
Also it is shallow in places and prone to shrinking in the summer when the tide goes out.

Assuming things have not changed much in 20 years that is!

probably not.... iirc RS did fit very special helium injected bladders on that specific boat.

It was to help it float much higher - to maintain a modicum of competitiveness in the the local salinity and its effect on lee-bowing lasers.

Unfortunately the added helium had a unforeseen side-effects:

- it floated so high Graeme couldn't get back in it once he capsized
- it also distorted the graphic artwork turning DAKINE into I-NAKED
- it also once floated off the trolley and landed on the beach

Plus there was the Parkstone mouse... the one that decided to take up residence under his spinnaker sock and wrap itself up nice and warm in kite halyard.  The little f*cker had a right right shock when he pulled on the halyard at the windward mark.... the mouse wasn't too happy either.

Anyway, glad your buddy's enjoying the 300... that was the point of this thread.  Lovely boats.... wish we still had a proper fleet of them.

Thanks for you input guys - that's narrowed it down to ... well a 300, 600 or IC then!

Not many IC's around right now so I think a demo of a 300 is in order to decide.

No, but if you pop over to Bristol Corinthian in Cheddar we have 3 x 300s here and you're more than welcome to take mine out for a ride. PM me if interested.

And would have if they made them in pink.....

BTW James - love the "little f*er/mouse" riff there.  Made me chuckle.
