They are reporting that it was a 40knot gust that came through as she went over. It always amazes me how slowly muilti do go over when its a capsize. You can see the others struggling in the first part and they cancelled Sundays racing as it was even stronger.

It's not really any more crazy than the Formula 40's and Orma boats from the 80's. They used to race the 40's shorthanded offshore and they had no more 'accommodation' than a extreme 40 does now. I'm pretty sure bivvy bags were used...
