By the looks of it you could just use Dave's mast! It looks quite stiff in comparison to mine. I think I could do with his and he could do with mine! LOL

But seriously it's back to that nice thing about One Design's rather than SMOD. With the 3.7 you can rig the mast pretty much how you like. If you are a bit heavy you can go for a stiffer section or add diamonds or spreaders, intermediates or lowers etc...

Yes, this is a stiff mast ( C-tec bought for someone's 12' skiff project). I jury rigged a 10:1 kicker as I haven't laid out all the fittings yet. Even pulling pretty hard and running out of travel there was not much bend on the stick - more purchase reqd

Well its official, the build has begun.
I took delivery of the building base courtesy of Dave (very much appreciated)
Ive been allocated sail number 402.

Build frames and base in position and cedar ready to go.




Also had a first try of scarfing on some cedar and that went well.
