Tornado is a fighter. Geek alert !!!!!
There are two main versions, the GR series which is the RAFs main ground attack option, then there is the F3 which is a dedicated fighter, although it's slowly being phased out in favour of the Eurofighter Typhoon.

As for missile names:
Harpoon
Sidewinder
Sparrow
Blue Steel
Firestreak
Phoenix
And my favourite the UK Taildog!

lies, they were shot down after they used it, not during, just a coincident.

I didn't think any aircraft were lost deploying jp233. Although it did light them up!

JP, I lost track of time, it must be about 2 yrs since the F3 got binned right?

No but you wouldn't want to have the job of delivering it against anyone who had a half decent anti aircraft defence system. From memory we only used it against the Iraqis in the first gulf war, and then we decided that it was a bit iffy, so stopped.

F3 was never a real "Fighter".... missile platform yes, and good at it too, but not up to much as a "fighter".

Oh, and JP233 was awesome at what it was designed to do, but was outlawed after GW1 as its bomblets were classed as mines as they were a combination of timed and proximity explosives.
