Yes, even the Challenger trimaran will capsize if you push it hard enough or get a wave wrong.

From the replays it's as if the leeward hull dug in similar to a cat.

Too many hulls, one will always dig in!

Your sad comment has brought me out of my 'forumite' retirement to say that, as the first AltO owner, you will never be classless. You will of course be welcome and certainly not ignored. I will even buy you a beer for all the nice things you say about the AltO.
Please hold the annual meeting of all your followers on our stand. After being shown the AltO they will appreciate the simple brilliance of the boat and, in future, take you more seriously. There is plenty of space on and around the stand with overspill capacity on the RS stand opposite. Apologies for not providing a red carpet.  Grumph, we look forward to your presence.

Do they have strict rules about sitting in ?
As soon as the RO sets one of our FYC harbour tour courses, it comes down to sitting out hard on a tight 3 sail reach.
It's a lot easier for a boat to look good on a proper w/l course.
I'll admit the 400 shares that.

oh and that double dammed looks fun.

+1

And I hadn't realised you can sail it one or two up, who sells these things in England, I saw it at the LBS a couple of years back but didn't really pay it any mind thinking it was more of a cat than a mono, but in reality it is a mono with stabilisers and looks a great training boat.

I've sailed that bit of water and those swells are quite steep, not unlike the channel in places and it is always windy in the Gorge particularly the further downwind you go, the sailing clubs tend to stick to the western end and rarely venture 'out East' which is wind and kitesurf country and very often with 3.5 sails and 7-9mtr kites (small).
