Because the mast and daggerboard has moved forward with it. Sprit is a bit longer than it needs to be to maintain original spacing, but putting mainfoil and rudder further apart should improve stability and potentially reduce drag if I can get away with smaller rudders...

I see the wand is on the front of a sprit. What is the benefit of putting it so far in front of the boat ? |
