Mike's trying to reduce drag.  An asymmetric would increase drag.

Could you not fit a small assy kite to the front of that?  It'd help downwind and keep the bow lifted. Wink

Why are y'all using RDM masts? They're ok for recreation, but crap for racing we found..

Because the mast and daggerboard has moved forward with it. Sprit is a bit longer than it needs to be to maintain original spacing, but putting mainfoil and rudder further apart should improve stability and potentially reduce drag if I can get away with smaller rudders...

I see the wand is on the front of a sprit.   What is the benefit of putting it so far in front of the boat ?
