I'll be there both days as always, guarding my pride and joy while fielding such questions as 'what does the stick on the bow do?' Somehow haven't actually got tired of it yet!

Funny - every solo race I've entered has been well over 8 boats. I guess I must pick my days... As for the handicap fleet, I think there were 2 200s out - that was it.
And you're quite right about not believing the hype- I see our website still suggests there's regular windward/leeward racing, and the photos of the handicap fleet page are well out of date, you can clearly see 3 RS300s actually racing together.... Edited by pondmonkey - 09 Feb 13 at 8:35am |

Yes there are more than 25 solos in the club. I thought you were suggesting you'd be racing against 20-25 in one race, sorry, I must have mis-read. The solos might get that number over the series but all of our "fleets" struggle to break 8 boats regularly on a start if you look at the actual stats. The only one that does are the Lasers on Wednesdays. Don't believe all the hype you hear/read...

Yep, just checked, definitely well over 25 Solos in the club... not sure if they'll all come out to play on the same day of course, but definitely more than enough for proper racing. The Lasers have certainly had a few 20+ races on Sunday mornings too... it's a good place for dinghy racing. Well worth the money compared to wasting it on fuel to get to open meetings that's for sure!

Blaze: depends who's there, have had great conversations and sometimes not.
But Greame ... you will still come over for a bit of a look whoever is there won't you .... No don't resist .... you and we all know that one day we'll see you in one again !
