Ah but would you have beat me if I'd been in your boat and you in mine?

True about the drunk thing, but then you know the saying, everyone likes a drink nobody likes a drunk.

grf, thats not true about the phantom stand, there is no way any phantom sailor will allow any bits of food to stray far from their mouths, so  no danger of getting splattered.
Just remember to ask how crap I am at sailing them then marvel at the bandit py they have cos I managed to beat you so convincingly at the fom, and I out drunk you too
Everything I say is my opinion, honest

Hi Rupert
Are you sure you should have posted that on here! or should i call you Mary. The non slip would ruin them and AND i am not carrying nail varnish to stop the runs.

Cheers for the advice Graham i have some good knee pads but was looking at decathlon calf protectors from Lomo at £7 as a cheap fix.

Or use ATB style knee pads that also protect your shins and are more comfortable

As a convert to single handers why do most of the Hikers at sensible prices (sorry Rodney) have to leave a gap up your shins to scrape on the non slip while grovelling in tacks. it is also annoying to have a 150mm of frozen skin early and late in the season.
So I want to see some long wetsuit socks which fit up to the knee pads.
Cheers

Just bung some stockings on - you'll be fine.
