YES.  There's one at my club.  Provoking a long debate as to which fleet it race sail in (fast asymetric with the K6s apparently).

BUT.  Have any Wetas actually been sailed in the UK?  "our" one has get to get wet I think.

We have had one regularly on the water at our club in 2012 and he's had a few reasonable results.

We had one sailing regularly throughout 2011 on a PY of 917. He was an older sailor who wanted to keep sailing multihulls but didn't feel 'athletic' enough to right a cat if he capsized. He towed it behind a Mini, unpacked the hulls, rigged and launched in perfectly reasonable time although it was quite a weight to grag up the slipway. Obviously, mixed class sailing is always going to mean imperfect courses for someone but it was no slouch and given his criteria, the Weta made a lot of sense.

I can remember seeing a fleet of 5 or 6 of them out at Calshot during a Team 15 session and being pleasantly surprised by their performance.

Just to be clear, I'm not knocking the Weta, I'm just suggesting suggesting that it 'won't capsize' is a bit off...

I thought it was described as hard to capsize but easy to right if it does.
