Where is the Lightning stand Rupert? Is it in the main hall or the hall of death and coffin dodging?
I'm bringing my crew Trev all bright eyed and bushy tailed I don't want to expose him to old things. I've told him they're not made any more and all these people are basically like the CVDRA lot they meet every year count how many are still alive then go back to their ponds.
He's pleased to have someone like me to explain dinghyism to him and point out the half a dozen boats that are worth looking at.. Wink

Apparently several manufacturers will be exhibiting wind-propelled boats...
Best wishes from deep in the woods

Will I bother this year? I don't know. I have been so often and "done" the Tasar stand a few times. If the boy wishes to attend or a nice young girl who I think of as my nurse I might. Will there be anything new? No one has been shouting about it if there is and I should be saving for my backpacking European tour later in the month........

Parking charge? Its free...

If you are there on Saturday morning, Grumph, brave the Lightning stand and say hi! You are welcome to make rude comments whilst you are there...

Oh and on the topic subject I shall be visiting once more, wandering lonely as a Classless person, I shall go and get ignored for a bit on the Alto stand, then I shall perform a reality check and see how many ropes on a 505 I can work out what they do, to see if I know any more this year than last, then just as I'm feeling pleased with myself I'll visit the International Canoe stand and scramble my brain totally. So then I'll pull up my hood get my head down and see if I can get past the Phantom stand without getting showered in bits of cake and pie (they're such messy eaters and they never look down where I'm trying to walk through them), then a chat with the Blaze boys if they're there, a quick check on that new Rocket the Aardvark lot have been teasing Facebook, a once more round to see if there's anyone else to abuse, before going into the dark room of death, clinker and varnish, wood botherers graveyard, just in case there is life in there, some times you see something interesting if there's not some happy clappy shenanigans going on stage to avoid like the black death.
I shall buy something stupidly expensive I don't need and will never use, then it's over to the Garden centre where I left the car, to buy another cheap birdtable thereby having saved myself half the parking charge..
That's my show for another year..

It's not for me, precisely because of the stabilser connotation, but it does achieve in its own way what I set out to achieve and failed so far with the V twin, it is fast, easy, accessible, all those things that would and could attract beginners to the thrill of sailing with none of the spills, well not as many of them.

It's getting a slating from you lot here because of the inept posting style and like all newcomers you evil b**tards have to put them through the mill.

So lets just seriously look at the comparisons with a D1 (which also took a mauling if y'all remember correctly before those that would infest the land with it took to that time honoured pursuit of pimp bribery).

So it has a kite, it's a screecher thing isn't it, quite a good idea that, I quite fancied one, got a fair size main, allegedly sails to 970 ish, has a back, a front, side bits you sit on, is ugly, where's the difference?

I bet if we had a demo at Hythe, they would come and the D1 mob would just wet their pants at the thought.. LOL

We've got one at Thornbury Russ. Sure it's not for everyone but sails reasonably well and gives those with less athleticism an opportunity to sail a boat with reasonable performance.
