I capsized at QM last weekend... water was 6 degrees C or something but not too cold if you have good kit :)

I took the contender out today and was actually too hot, but I was moving around a lot.  The trouble with the BM is it goes on for so long.

How many entries have you got, I heard 120 a day or two ago.

Now up to 170 boats,  with a surge in last few hours.

We have also done a class count,  with 29er and Topper heading the table with 12 boats each.

I raced the BM a few years ago.......its a bit lonely out there in fog..........in a Lark.........then some asymmetric looms up at a mark from a strange direction and scares the sh1t out of you!

Ah yes the foggy year....I remember cries of "anyone seen the W mark" as we beat up along the sticky out finger....and a voice from the wrong side and to leeward shouting "it's over here".  Brilliant!

actually, that wasn't me, but I do recall said foggy BM. It does also call to mind blundering about in the fog on the solent once and we could here the waves lapping on something and coming closer and closer (very light winds, basically drifting sideways as fast as we were going forward), we were shouting the usual stuff "is there anyone out there?", when this massive great channel marker hoves into sight....SH*T..... thankfully missed it just
