Talking of Silk 2, has anybody got access to the video clip of her pitchpoling? I've hunted around for a while and can't find it, but I'm really keen to have a look.

Doubt you will find one, it happened around 1997/ 1998 if not earlier when video cameras still ran on tapes and didn't like salt water. Ive had the picture on my wall since 1999!

Best you are likely to find is the photo sequence of about 10 pictures that were published in Y&Y

Yeah that's what I though, but there was a bit of talk on sailing anarchy about a few people having a little video of it - trouble is, they're all such a load of w**kers that I don't want to antagonise them by asking for it. :L Ah well, the pictures are more than impressive enough!

on the subject of impressive yacht videos, just want to say fair play and mega respect to JPD on the Vendee, climbing 20m up your mast in the deep, deep south is very brave, and demonstrates seriously good seamanship

A short video of my 16ft skiff out in around 25-30 knots with a bit of seaway, unfortunately too much for the camera to get a steady shot. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2cIi7vWMG4&feature=share&list=UU0fDl8SYQxFlLu4CpKTFGpw

Video of the Brass Monkey at Yorkshire Dales SC on 27th December - windy and cold. Lot's of  fun and the odd capsize - see if you can spot the Merlin Helm 'ejecting' at a leeward mark! The speed of the winning Fireball is clear to see - well done Tom and Simon.
