I really hope this is ratified- can this craft do 70, or is that going to take "Sailrocket 3"?

Apparently all it will take is a less conservative foil. The current one was designed 'conservatively' apparently and was set for a maximum of 65 knots - they've clearly hit their target speeds!

Indeed, I believe they are pretty much learning with every run. It's a pretty spectacular increase in the record if it's ratified!

Still, a wind surfer could turn around and go back again. Vestas is a one trick pony, very fast trick, but its not exactly going to sail in circles.

That isn't the game, though. I'm pretty sure I've seen one tack windsurfers in the past, but I guess they didn't improve on things? I'm sure someone on here will be able to remember.
