I don't know, I call my nearest and dearest "c**nts" (an affectionate manner)

Ha ha, my wife calls me it all the time. Obviously when the kids are not in ear shot. Its just something we have always done. Its vulgar, but in the right context (a bit of fun) But this was a bit more than that. I certainly wouldn’t stand for it if someone called me it in a dinghy park, or on a forum just because my POV differed from theirs albeit because I was not as educated in a matter. |

I like the cut of your wife's jib, sir! Agreed re context though - if meant offensively its a lamping offence. |

I dunno - wasn't really a different POV. If someone essentially called me a liar in a public place... All bets are off! Better be pretty sure of the facts before you start throwing grenades...
All very British, this business...

You certainly are...but... it did seem to be coming across as very angry, which is odd, considering we are talking about a hobby. Surprised that it has got this far, really - maybe Mark is enjoying handbags in the afternoon, too. |

Nylon seems a curous choice of material? Swells when wet Notoriously difficult to glue High thermal expansion Better than mixing aluminium with carbon fibre though. That can lead to disastrous corrosion, as I've seen on another boat. Luckily I'm happy with the ali pole. |
