Bartley

There is no provision at the club for either camping or camper vans therefore we would advise you to find alternative accommodation.

Is Bartley the one that sits behind 10 foot high barbed wire fences that makes Broxbourne look like a holiday camp location?

Hollowell, Banbury, Barnt Green, Bartley are all Midlands and quite small reservoirs. Also Shustoke and South Staffordshire (although the latter may be a bit small).

That could be Midlands SC in central Birmingham. Wouldn't want to camp there, they'd have your tent.

Yes. The surrounding area is much better than it used to be though.
I hadn't thought about the camping element, maybe Chase might be a better bet? I think it'd be good to move the event around a bit, maybe rotate south east, midlands, north, south west on a four year cycle?
I get the feeling that you want a decent sized lake, but not a "golf club" style venue.

Shustoke - Forget it after June due to weed.
Barnt green is probably too small.

What about Banbury? A bit narrrow but can accommodate 30-40 Merlins for an open.

Camping/camper vans (Pikeys), dinner/bar, easy launching, grandstand (spectating possible), friendly club,  Saturday PM racing and Sunday morning racing - 4 short races each day.

Nowhere suitable to camp though.
Best wishes from deep in the woods

If you wanted to come to the Cotswolds, I could ask at Whitefriars. New kitchen, camping on site, about 80 acres of lake, easy for M4/M5 but a fair way south compared to Scotland...
