Yes, thanks for that photo Rodney....the X1 doing a dry capsize, helped by sealed mast, bit like a Laser etc etc

We were just keen to demonstrate how quick it is to get up and going after a capsize of course......somewhere between 10 - 15 seconds think it must have been...... (mind you, according to my calculations of those decimal minutes, if it had been anything above 21 we would have finally managed to have got that Punk missile....).

I even capsized the EPS to worsen your result, but that wasn't enough, so decided to quit just at the finish. Didn't realise it would count as my score!

Best bit was hearing a Phantom sailor complain about PYs ;-).

I took some close ups of his sheeting system, the best I've seen, no ropes to tangle round your feet, I have this phobia of rope around my legs ever since I nearly drowned as a kid in the Thames getting something rope like wrapped round my feet and held under water. Virtually every bad move I make in a dinghy can be traced back to rope getting caught round my ankles, stupid panic like vertigo or claustrophobia can't shake it, but that system solves everything, it is the perfect boat and now it's been demonstrated as a winner, naturally it will make me do well won't it?

This is the boom end those other boats are Icons, they looked kind of weird at first glance, very wide, yet I'm told they are not as wide as an RS400 there was a nice one of those doing Ok when you consider the conditions, not exactly an assym kind of place, the icons all sailed over or under me at one point or other and seemed to go OK, in fact everything else seemed to go ok even those Fat Finn Feckers keep putting me round when I'm on the lay line so they can come right through and over stand and crap on me some more..

Oh and here were the correct results before the 'Event Title holder' and 'organisers organ grinder' pulled rank..

Graeme, you should get a Punk built mate.  I think they are stunning and absolutely perfect for you.

So do I, in fact I offered him a really great deal, fair exchange, it for the V twin he designed for me.

And he needs people like me sailing it or it'll end up with a PY in the 900's if he keeps doing that.

Thanks again to all for a great event - I loved trying other boats - racing a Finn (Thanks Nick) and having a go in the Punk - (Thanks Daniel it's a great boat - very slippery hull, but surprisingly stable - what's not to like!).  And dinner was great too - yum!

Sorry to my brilliant teammate Chris for a final capsize at the penultimate mark, entirely pilot error Embarrassed At least we stayed dry and in the lead. We rarely capsize, and it is so quick to right Wink
